£35,000 pa pro rata
Up to 4 days per week (including some evening meetings and occasional weekends)
This is an exciting role to lead a Big Local initiative in the Plaistow area of east London and
oversee the delivery of our plan and staff. Internally the role is known as Director.
Plaistow South Big Local (PSBL) is the resident-led Big Local Partnership whose aim is to
bring together the local talent, ambitions and skills from individuals, groups and local
organisations to achieve this. South Plaistow is one of 150 areas across England to receive
funding over 10 years from the Big Lottery to make the area an even better place to live.
PSBL is supported by Rights & Equalities in Newham (REIN) in the development and
delivery of the Community Plan, which has been established through consultation with local
residents.
PSBL and REIN are looking for an exceptional manager who will lead on the implementation
of our ambitious plan to make a lasting, positive difference to the community whilst
supporting the partnership in the development, delivery and management of the Community
Plan. This will include the line management of PSBL staff and volunteers.
There are five key areas of responsibility that are relevant to this role (described more fully in
the Job Description). The areas are:
1. Project management
2. Staff management
3. Partnership support
4. Legacy and sustainability
As a minimum our ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a role which
involved networking/engagement with the public and will have managed a small staff team.
Experience within the other areas will strengthen your application.
